For and by makers in design, art, culture, film, music, media, tech, food, architecture and urban planning. All pioneers in their field who want to use their craftsmanship to strengthen themselves, ZOHO and the city in an innovative way.

That was necessary. Because this former industrial estate, wedged between the Heer Bokelweg, the Hofbogen, the Teilingerstraat and the Noordsingel, also called the Zomerhofkwartier, was an introspective, impoverished area that was struggling with vacancy. In 2013 it was decided that the area would be developed over 10 years through a gradual form of urban development; slow urbanism.
