Based on Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel Le Fantôme de l'Opéra, Phantom of the Opera tells the gripping story of Christine Daaé, a young soprano whose extraordinary voice enchants a mysterious masked figure known as The Phantom. This brilliant but tormented musical genius lives in the catacombs of the Paris opera house, sowing fear among everyone who lives and works there. Attracted by Christine's sensational talent, The Phantom becomes her mentor. He believes that only she can truly bring his music to life. As he guides her from the shadows, he falls in love with her.
