Rotterdam Coffee Fest celebrates Rotterdam’s coffee culture
Rotterdam Coffee Fest returns from 5 to 8 November for its second edition. It will feature a more extensive programme, *De Doelen* as a new venue, and four days of coffee culture across Rotterdam.
With a larger venue, a four-day programme, new partnerships and even more ways to experience coffee across the city, Rotterdam Coffee Fest 2026 builds on the momentum of the pilot edition and celebrates just how much Rotterdam’s speciality coffee community has grown.
The programme brings together coffee professionals, enthusiasts, creative minds and curious newcomers for tastings, workshops, talks and a variety of experiences, both inside and outside the festival venue.
On 5 and 6 November, Rotterdam Coffee Fest will be taking over various venues across the city with a programme packed with guided tours of coffee roasteries, photography walks, sensory workshops, brewing masterclasses, a major latte art throwdown and more. These activities, taking place across the city, offer visitors the chance to discover Rotterdam’s coffee community at its source and get to know the people, places and stories behind the city’s coffee culture.
During the main festival on 7 and 8 November, Rotterdam Coffee Fest will move to De Doelen. The weekend programme will include a Roasters Village, a dedicated cupping area and various workshop stations, as well as a separate stage for talks and panel discussions.
Rotterdam’s Favourite Café & Roastery
The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Netherlands is bringing the preliminary rounds of the national SCA competitions to Rotterdam Coffee Fest. Visitors can cheer on the competitors in the Dutch Latte Art Championship and the Dutch Cup Tasters Championship whilst enjoying the Alpro Community Lounge. Entry to the SCA preliminary rounds is free, giving an even wider audience the chance to experience the competitions up close.
Alpro is therefore joining as a partner this year and presenting ‘Rotterdam’s Favourite Café & Roastery’, the community-driven competition that celebrates Rotterdam coffee lovers’ favourite coffee spots. Following the nomination round, the finalists will compete against each other in a public vote at De Doelen.
The festival will operate entirely without disposable cups. In collaboration with UBITE, reusable cups and a special washing station will be available throughout the festival. This will help reduce waste and make the use of reusable cups part of the festival experience.
