Rotterdamse Oogst (Harvest Market) wants to strengthen the regional food chain by organizing events and marketplaces. In the middle of the city, close to the consumer.
Local flavours at Noordplein
Every Saturday, Noordplein fills with stalls offering food from Rotterdam and the surrounding region. Around 35 to 45 traders sell a changing selection of seasonal produce, artisan bread, cheese, drinks and freshly prepared food. Buy directly from farmers, growers, bakers, cooks and other local food makers.
From nearby, with its own story
Rotterdamse Oogst aims to keep the journey from farm to plate as short as possible. The market focuses on food grown, made or sold within 50 kilometres of Rotterdam. This means you can discover not only what you are eating, but also where it comes from and who made it. Expect products from places such as the Westland, Rhoon, the Hoeksche Waard and Rotterdam itself.
More than a market
Rotterdamse Oogst is also a meeting place. Pick up something tasty from one of the stalls, find a seat under the trees and meet the people behind the food. Shopping, tasting and relaxing all come together here. Noordplein is in the Oude Noorden, a characterful neighbourhood with coffee bars, independent shops and the River Rotte nearby.
Good to know
The market takes place every Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm at Noordplein and is free to visit. You can easily reach it on foot, by bicycle or by public transport. The selection of stalls changes each week, so check the Rotterdamse Oogst website for the latest traders and updates. During special events, the market may occasionally move to a different location.
