Park 1943

Park in the Tussendijken district in Rotterdam-Delfshaven.

History

History has left its mark on Tussendijken. The heart of the district was mistakenly bombed by the Allies on March 31, 1943. A commemoration takes place here every year on May 4. The bombing left an empty spot in the district, which was developed as Park 1943 and Visserijplein after the Second World War. A monument in the 1943 Park commemorates the disaster.
