About iCOON
iCOON Hoek van Holland is situated in a beautiful spot in the Voorduin, 'wedged' between the Nieuwe Waterweg and the North Sea. A small-scale country estate of high quality (partly in progress). Where it is nice to be even if you have nothing to do with art. Inside, in the former ammunition bunker, a museum for minimalist art & design. Art year 2025 opens on April 5th with the theme: ROOM FOR YOU! Space for Rotterdam artists & designers.
Outside a dune landscape with beautiful flora, fauna and a nice terrace. With respect for the history of the area, Joram Raaijmakers designed a watchtower based on the watchtowers from the Cold War. For bon vivants, maritime, nature and heritage lovers. The placement is planned for April 2025. Krijn de Koning designed an above-ground tunnel system, based on the thickness of the bunker walls. This second experience of the country estate is still in preparation.
