Sonneveld House is one of the best-preserved residences in the New Building style. The villa on the edge of the Museum Park in Rotterdam was designed by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt, known for the Van Nelle Factory, among others. Sonneveld House, a prime example of the New Building style from 1933, offers a unique glimpse into the life of the Sonneveld family. This ultra-modern house, designed by architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt, perfectly reflects the era in which it was built. Visitors can walk freely through the house with an audio tour that reveals the story of the family and the secrets of the house.
The house is a beautiful example of harmony between architecture, interior, and furnishings, and exudes luxury and comfort, with almost all furniture and lamps from Gispen. With its spacious and bright rooms, balconies, and sweeping views of the garden, Huis Sonneveld offers a captivating experience of a personal living environment from that era.
