Gallery Serruys

Galerie Serruys is a gallery with a new unique exhibition every six weeks.

About the galley

Galerie Serruys is located in the restaurant of Laurens Antonius Binnenweg, a modern nursing home in the heart of Rotterdam. It owes its name to Mrs. Antoinette Serruys de Bruijn, the chairman of the group of wealthy Roman Catholic ladies who founded a house for the 'incurable sick and blind' on the then rural Nieuwe Binnenweg in the mid-nineteenth century.

Since 1987, a new exhibition has been mounted in the gallery every six weeks. Each new exhibition is unique and has a lot of impact on visitors, employees and passers-by. Various work is shown such as photography and ceramics, but also oil painting and other forms of art. In the gallery there is room for both two and three-dimensional art.

Low costs

The artists are not charged for exhibiting the art. In this way, the prices of the works can be kept attractive for visitors.
