Varia is a space for developing collective approaches around everyday technology. varia members maintain and facilitate a collective infrastructure to generate questions, opinions, adjustments, help and action. We use free software, organize events and work together in different constellations.
About
Varia is a Rotterdam initiative that emerged in 2017 from the need to open up the practices of the members and organize ad hoc public or semi-public moments in different configurations. At its core, Varia is focused on developing critical insights into the technologies around us. Varia experiments with different instruments and tools to develop physical and digital infrastructures in a collective way.
Our way of being together as a collective space is described in the following documents: our Code of Conduct which describes our shared values and rules of conduct, our collective statement which contextualises Varia's position, and membership guidelines where you can read more about our membership model.
