Storyhouse Belvédère

Belvédère makes people and communities in the contemporary city visible through art, culture and (personal) stories.

Presenting stories

At Belvédère, stories are shared in the form of photo exhibitions, listening performances, city discovery tours, inspiration programmes, publications, events, and dining and meeting programmes such as the Volkskeuken.

The format changes, but the approach remains the same: hospitable, positive, personal and inspiring. On location and at the home base.

Extra information

Verhalenhuis Belvédère is open daily from 11.00 to 17.00. You can visit exhibitions, join for coffee or lunch, and take part in various activities. In the Volkskeuken, a guest chef prepares the lunch of the day (€12.50, while supplies last).

Belvédère also regularly organises guided walks through Katendrecht, where the stories of the neighbourhood come to life. There are also educational programmes and workshops focusing on migration, music and creative expression. The Verhalendepot presents objects and heritage from Rotterdam’s diverse communities, making the city’s stories visible.
