In the middle of the Kralingse Bos you will find the De Kraal petting zoo. A fun and educational outing for young and old!

De Kraal petting zoo was opened in 1967 as 'Klein Dierenhof', making it the first petting zoo in Rotterdam! De Kraal has expanded considerably since then and today the petting zoo attracts more than 140,000 visitors per year.
Peacocks, pigs, goats and various rodents live at De Kraal. Children can play to their heart's content on landscaped natural play areas in and around De Kraal. The petting zoo is a nice, cozy place where young and old get to know animals and nature.
A visit to the petting zoo is not only recreational, it is also an educational outing. Everywhere on the farm you will find information boards with fun facts about the animals. There are also always employees present to whom you can ask a question. Don't be shy, our employees are happy to tell you more about the animals!
