Jeroen Veenstra

The very first edition of Rotterdam Coffee Fest will take place at the Timmerhuis on 11 and 12 October. Organised by the Stichting Coffee Block, the festival aims to become the annual highlight of Rotterdam's coffee culture, bringing together professionals and coffee lovers for a weekend full of culture, community and creativity. Early bird tickets are now available via this link.

During the two-day festival, some 15 local roasters - including A Matter of Concrete, Manhattan, Ripsnorter, Grounded and Evermore - will descend on a special Roaster's Village. In addition, related companies, such as Espresso Service West and Nomadschai, will present their products in. Visitors can also participate in talks, workshops and panels on urban history, culture and social responsibility, among other topics.

Of course, there will be cuppings tastings, offered by roasters, green coffee importers and tea experts. Brands such as HOKA (with a morning run) and Oatly (with an interactive stand) will also be present.

Rotterdam's Favorite Café/Roastery 2025

Through an election, aficionados can nominate their favourite café and roastery for the title: Rotterdam's Favorite Café/Roastery 2025. Each participating establishment will receive a unique voting link. Anyone who buys a festival ticket via that link will count as a vote and receive a discount. In this way, the festival wants to promote local involvement.
