In a world where everyone and everything demands attention, it is difficult to stay true to yourself. Do you find yourself again, or do you get tangled up?
Waving cloths create a world in which we humans are but small. A dancer leaves the audience behind and disappears. But nothing remains still. Without wanting to, she stands on the stage again. Together with even more people. There is nothing left to hide behind.
Choreographers Femke Somerwil and Gertien Bergstra create a performance to find stability in a world that keeps on turning. The music by Mete Erker and Jeroen van Vliet adds color to the performance.
Uit de Doeken is a wordless visual dance performance for children aged 4 and up with varying language skills and backgrounds. The performance is therefore also suitable for children who have difficulty following verbal communication, are sensitive to stimuli, or have a less proficient command of the Dutch language.
