Proms: Happy New Year Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest
Beloved waltz classics and a few festive surprises: Happy 2027!
The perfect New Year's Concert is a mix of familiar waltzes and polkas and a few festive surprises. Royal purveyor Johann Strauss contributes both types of ingredients with the famous Fledermaus Overture and Danube Waltz, as well as with a few lesser-known (but just as beautiful) waltzes. Two of his more modern colleagues provide a cheerful stir, because it is, of course, simply 2027 by now.
