Novits - Heerenhuyskamerconcert

Novits, aka Fleur Bonnevits, is a Rotterdam-based singer and composer. Her music, a blend of folk, pop, and rock, is characterized by rich orchestral arrangements and cinematic influences, creating a sound that feels both raw and refined.

Last October she played in the aftershow of Wende at the Muziekgebouw in Eindhoven. In the intimacy of the Heerenhuys she plays with a cello and trombone line-up, where the arrangements remain small, personal and compelling.

About Fleur AKA Novits

Fleur draws inspiration from a variety of sources, from personal experiences to books and paintings. Her songs explore inner struggle, growth, and human connection, songs that transport you to a world full of atmosphere, images, and emotions. Musically, this translates into contrasts and grand arrangements interwoven with evocative, intimate soundscapes. In this way, she strives to bring different worlds together, discovering an organic warmth of folk, rock, and pop blended with the richness of classical instruments. Although she has explored various instruments over the years, her voice and guitar remain the core of her work.

In 2018, Fleur enrolled at Codarts, where she embraced interdisciplinary projects and developed a passion for creating music for film, theater, and dance. She began collaborating with strings and experimenting with film music, laying the foundation for her future career. In 2021, she completed a Bachelor's degree in Songwriting and Production at Codarts, where she refined her songwriting, recording, producing, and mixing skills.

Most recently, she began a Masters in Classical Composition, where she continues to explore the interplay between pop and classical ensembles and aims to bridge the gap between these worlds.
