Morrissey to the Doelen for an exclusive performance
As frontman of The Smiths, Morrissey made music history with only four albums, but an impact that can be felt to this day. He is therefore considered one of the most defining figures in British pop music and is acclaimed worldwide as one of the best lyricists of his generation. On Tuesday 24 February 2026, the British singer will give an exclusive performance at de Doelen. Tickets for the concert, organised by Rotown and de Doelen, will go on sale on Friday 28 November at 10am via this link.
With The Smiths, he delivered timeless classics such as: This Charming Man and There Is A Light That Never Goes Out. In his solo career, he effortlessly continued this success with iconic songs like Suedehead and First of the Gang to Die. His distinctive voice, poetic lyrics and idiosyncratic artistic vision have made him one of the world's most loved and talked-about artists for four decades.
He has so far released 13 solo studio albums, all of which reached the UK Top 10, three of which even finished at No 1. He was also awarded an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music and received the 2024 Social Vanguard Award for his exceptional commitment to animal rights.
