Nieuwjaarsconcert Rotterdams Operakoor presenteert een middag vol opera

Start the new year with an atmospheric and musical afternoon full of opera! The Rotterdams Operakoor welcomes you on 3 January 2027 in the intimate Jurriaanse Zaal of De Doelen for a festive New Year's concert.

The choir presents a varied programme with magnificent choral works from the rich opera tradition. Music by, among others, Bellini, Donizetti, Pacini and Rossini is interspersed with German-language works by Smetana, J. Strauss and Abraham. A programme full of well-known melodies but also with surprising moments and the characteristic power and beauty of choral singing.

Two soloists of international allure will participate in this special afternoon: soprano Nancy Weissbach and baritone Brett Carter. The musical direction is in the capable hands of Annelies Prins. The choir will be accompanied on the grand piano by the virtuoso pianist Mark van Nispen.

A warm, festive and musical start to the new year, in which the Rotterdams Operakoor would like to take you back into its world of opera.

We look forward to welcoming you to De Doelen!
