A festive and atmospheric Christmas programme for organ, soprano and piano.
Organist Wouter van der Wilt will give his traditional Christmas concert on December 26th, this year joined by soprano Ilse van der Wilt and the piano duo Marc Schippers & Henrike van Tuijl. The program will span centuries of Christmas music: from Poulenc's tranquil O magnum mysterium and Bach's Pastorale to Romantic works by Cornelius, Reger, Karg-Elert, and Brahms. The extended set of variations on Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern by Julius Schneider is a highlight, and Willcock's Hark, the Herald Angels Sing! and Anderson's Sleigh Ride provide a festive finale.
Time: 2:00 PM
Location: Hoflaankerk, Oudedijk 2, Rotterdam
Admission: Free, with a collection after the concert.
The organ music can be followed via a projector and screens.
