From subdued music to exuberantly radiant organ sounds
A journey through sound
Eric Koevoets takes you on a musical journey. He plays the classical organ in the Lambertus Church. You will hear works by composers such as Bach, Reger, Tournemire, and Vierne. The music has been carefully chosen to showcase the many sonic possibilities of the organ.
Discover the organ
The organ, with its rich timbres, fills the entire church space. You experience how the music transitions from subdued passages to exuberant sounds. The church itself helps to create a fitting atmosphere in which the music comes fully into its own.
The composers
Listen to Bach's Präludium und Fugue in C major BWV 546 , Aus tiefer Not, op. 135a and op. 67 by Reger, Postlude Alleluiatique, op. 57 by Tournemire and Symphony 1, and ré minor by Louis Vierne. These works clearly demonstrate the versatility of the classical organ.
