Until the end of December, images from two projects by photographic artist Dominique Gebbink can be seen at the Court of Rotterdam.

Ships, quay, and containers in the Port of Rotterdam are literally the subject of the first project, but Gebbink sees them as a metaphor for human memory. Our memory that does not always function perfectly.

In the entrance of the courtroom complex, you can follow the road trip of a North Sea shrimp. Or rather: the soul of a dead North Sea shrimp. At first glance, a strange story, especially since the shrimp is nowhere to be seen. But is it any stranger than reality, where most shrimp travel back and forth in a refrigerated truck to Morocco to be peeled there?
