Mishmash presents Cross-Over, a new Fine ART pop-up at Galerie Wind on Noordereiland in Rotterdam. This exhibition is extra special: it is the first since Mishmash left their own gallery and studio in the center of Rotterdam. With Cross-Over, Mishmash opens a new chapter, with the Fine ART pop-up appearing at various locations.
Cross-Over is curated by Mishmash and showcases a unique dialogue between art and design. In collaboration with the Rotterdam design boutique Plaisier AvantGarde, iconic design classics are combined with contemporary artworks in surprising installations.
Admire legendary design pieces such as the Chieftain Chair and Pelican Chair by Finn Juhl, the Steltman Chair by Gerrit Rietveld, and the impressive Living Tower by Verner Panton. These masterpieces interact in exciting ways with works by:
Pedro Cherino, Johannes Steendam, Ron Weijers, Jeannette Ephraïm, Wil Jansen, Henk van Vessem, Anton Vrede, Simon Schrikker, Astrid van Rijn, Netty van Osch, Lidy Jacobs, and Mishmash themselves.
