Catching Cultures Orchestra is back with their own festival!

On October 25, enjoy the orchestra with musicians from all corners of the world. The traditions they bring with them are mixed more innovatively than ever into a progressive, intercultural program. Arabic, Nigerian, Kurdish, Zimbabwean, Chinese, and Latin American pieces are given a new look, and this edition will once again feature the debut of a few original compositions in which traditions are interwoven more than ever.

About Catching Cultures:

Catching Cultures is an intercultural collective from Utrecht. Our organization of committed musicians with diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly newcomers, creates high-quality intercultural musical offerings for a diverse audience.

The orchestra forms the core and consists of about 25 musicians with diverse backgrounds. This core group includes Syrian, Chinese, Kurdish, Nigerian, Iraqi, Nepalese, Palestinian, Venezuelan, and Dutch musicians. Among them are a number of renowned professionals, ambitious semi-professionals, and enthusiastic amateurs of all ages, genders, and orientations. Guest musicians, crew, substitutes, arrangers, and composers have roots in Ukraine, Morocco, Turkey, Latvia, and Jordan. We are proud of our unique mix of musicians and staff.
