Special Meetups for Asian Moms in a cozy living room setting to discover what the needs are regarding parenting. - for moms and all people who identify as a mom - who moved to the Netherlands recently or is a second generation Asian who grew up here - who live or work in Rotterdam

Join us in a conversation. Asian moms Han-yin from Taiwan and independent researcher, and Suh Joon Hee from Korea who started Onni will be your hosts. We will be holding three sessions this year, each focusing on a different theme. The intention is to bring Asian Parents together and talk about being Asian parents and the upbringing of our children in Dutch Society. Onni would like to support Asian parents, especially Asian moms and is now making the next three events possible. We are sponsored by the Municipality of Rotterdam, Rotterdamse Vrouwenfonds and Volkskracht.

September 27th – School, navigating the Dutch education system and communicating with school October 15th – Values and heritage, what do you bring and do you leave behind, how to you balance between your Asian roots and the Dutch values December 10th – Upbringing, what are the biggest challenges as an Asian parent, how do you manage pressures from both Asian and Dutch social norms

We start at 10 am and finish around 12 pm. Tea and coffee will be provided during meet up. At the bar there are other drinks available.

Event is free but please sign up and fill in the questionnaire. Your input will be used to form the Meetups.
