Alle wegen leiden naar Rotterdam-Zuid Theaterwerkplaats voor Ouwe Rotten X Theater Zuidplein X Thyra Jansen

In Alle Wegen Leiden naar Rotterdam-Zuid, nine people over 60 from Rotterdam Zuid tell their story based on memories and music that travelled through life with them. About the places they come from, the choices they made and the events that shaped them. Some travelled thousands of kilometres, others found their happiness close to home. Their stories come together in one place: Rotterdam-Zuid.

The performance is the result of a special creation process in which the participants, under the guidance of music theatre maker Thyra Jansen, wrote their own texts and songs. From personal memories, stories emerged about home, love, loss, resilience, dreams and new beginnings. Stories that not only tell something about their lives, but also about the strength of a neighbourhood and the people who give it colour.

With openness, humour and guts, these nine seniors take to the stage to share their experiences. Together, they form a versatile and personal portrait of Rotterdam Zuid: a place where lives cross, where stories live on and where everyone has travelled their own path to get there.
