Hotel New York is located in the former headquarters of the Holland America Line. In the basement of the distinctive building from 1917 you will find the luxurious restaurant and cocktail bar NY Basement. The classic interior is reminiscent of the 1920s and 1930s in pre-war Manhattan. Exactly the place where many emigrants arrived when they left their homeland with the Holland-America Line.
The atmosphere is more intimate and exclusive than the restaurant upstairs, but NY Basement is just as accessible. The 11 meter long bar invites you to have a drink or drink cocktails. From classics as negroni and old fashioned to signature drinks as the Sinatra Vieux or Mount Fuji.
The menu is changing regularly and offers fine dining dishes, like grilled langoustine tail and ravioli of smoked brisket. Also vegetarians have always something to choose from here.
Dining with groups
The restaurant can accommodate 110 guests for dinner. It is possible to reserve a private dining room for groups up to 15 people. Groups from 65 up to 200 guests can also hire the complete NY Basement. For more information you can check the website.
