Sizzla Kalonji, Barrington Levy, Yellowman and Postmen will play Reggae Roots Rotterdam

Big names are being released for the first edition of the new Reggae Roots Rotterdam. After Burning Spear and Julian Marley, Sizzla, Barrington Levy, Yellowman and Meta & The Cornerstones will also come to the Zuiderpark on 4 July. Rotterdam-based Postmen will also perform. Ticket sales have started via this link.
The ambitions of the makers, who among other things put on the successful festival CuliNESSE with 45,000 visitors every year, are big. If it is up to Reggae Roots Rotterdam, the festival in the Zuiderpark with room for 15,000 visitors will grow into an annual tradition in Rotterdam's festival summer. Spread across five stages and with a large terrain programme, Reggae Roots Rotterdam brings a day of international music and culture to Rotterdam.
''Reggae obviously belongs to this city like no other genre of music,'' says festival producer Brendo Festen. ''So many stars have played here over the years, up to Bob Marley. We are happy to continue that monumental Rotterdam tradition. This is well reflected in the line-up we have announced so far. The biggest names in reggae like to come and play with us.''
