On 30 December at Theater Rotterdam, you can enjoy two special concerts full of recognisable and beloved film music. From Tolkien's fantasy world to Hans Zimmer's iconic soundtracks.
The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit
With The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit - The Concert, you will experience the music from J.R.R. Tolkien's world in a unique way. Shire's orchestra and choir will perform pieces from The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and The Rings of Power. Together with the voice of legendary Saruman actor Sir Christopher Lee, they bring the exciting compositions to life. The music is full of atmospheric melodies and the programme has something special for everyone. In addition, a special guest from the films will be present to present the music from the films.
The Music of Hans Zimmer
Following Tolkien's musical world, enjoy The Music of Hans Zimmer. Familiar works from films such as The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception and Dune will be performed live by a film orchestra, choir and soloists. Alongside the music, film footage will be shown, bringing the stories even more to life. Again, special guests from the films will come along to present the music and make the evening even more complete.
Practical information
The concerts will take place on Monday 30 December at Theater Rotterdam. The Lord of the Rings is from 16:00-18:30 and Hans Zimmer from 20:00-22:30. Tickets and more information can be found on the website of Theater Rotterdam. Make sure you are there soon!
