Dutch Modular Fest (DMF) is an annual modular synthesiser festival. The festival offers performances, workshops, a market and art. After the first edition in The Hague, there were festivals in Eindhoven and Utrecht. In 2024, DMF took place for the first time in Rotterdam. On Saturday 6 September, there will be another edition at WORM.
DMF is all about the modular synthesiser and brings together experimentation and community. Live performances include Julian Edwardes, Maj Rachel and Rotterdam-based Animistic Beliefs. Animistic Beliefs is a Rotterdam-based underground multimedia project founded in 2015 by Lưu Thoại Linh and Marvin Lalihatu, of Vietnamese-Chinese and Moluccan-Dutch descent, respectively. The duo produces electronic music with characteristics of IDM, techno and experimental bubbling.

There is also an extensive market where brands such as ALFA DELTA, ALM Busy Circuits, AnalogFX, APE Electronics and Ginko Synthesis present themselves. There will also be talks and master classes, including a special lecture by Biyi Amez in honour of Rob Hordijk, a pioneer within the Dutch synthesiser scene. On the day of his death (6 September 2022), Biyi will honour his mentor with stories, instruments and future plans.
