What started in 2009 as a neighbourhood festival with around 250 visitors, has grown into a fixture on the international festival calendar with over 12,000 visitors. On Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July 2026 is the 14th edition of Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival on Rotterdam's Noordplein. Performers include Della Mae, Hogslop String Band and Emily Nenni. Tickets are available via this link.

Also present are Hackensaw Boys, Henhouse Prowlers, Hillary Klug, DUG, Kaia Kater, The Hot Seats, SLO County Stumblers, Bridge City Sinners, Truffle Valley Boys, Vandoliers, Cat Clyde, Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra and Cat Lee King & His Cocks, underscoring once again the festival's broad view of bluegrass and related roots music.

From traditional string virtuosity to folk, Americana and genre-crossing crossovers. More names will be added to the line-up in the coming period, as well as details about fringe programming, jam sessions and activities for young and old.

The Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival combines international programming with strong roots in the neighbourhood. Besides live experience and hospitality, accessibility is a conscious choice. Also in 2026, prices remain low: Passe-partouts for three days cost €45 and day tickets are available for €20. Children up to 14 years old have free access to the shaded festival grounds.
