African Food Festival celebrates Africa's rich flavours, cultures and hospitality in Museumpark
The African Food Festival Rotterdam was born in 2023 out of a desire to break through the lack of family, eating together and connectedness. For one day, the festival is bringing back that togetherness. On Saturday 19 July, at Museumpark, there will be a celebration of Africa's rich flavours, cultures and hospitality. It's about coming together, sharing memories, tasting familiar dishes and creating a sense of home away from home for one day. Tickets are already available at this link.
Rotterdam is home for the team behind the African Food Festival Rotterdam, and with this festival they are adding something unique to the city's culinary and cultural landscape. A place where you not only taste, but also connect, discover and celebrate.
The African Food Festival Rotterdam will feature authentic halal dishes from 22 African countries. Also, Ethiopian coffee ceremonies and a market with more than 30 African makers, designers and entrepreneurs.
There will be live music and inspiring talks on diaspora, identity and creativity, in collaboration with My Omek Community. For kidsern there are activities full of art and stories and games and fun with Ye Bo Games Community.
