Rotterdams Volkstheater will again organise three days of Music on the Rotte. On the Rotte near the Noordplein, the main stage floats on the water and the audience on the quay and wooden platform. The programme consists mainly of Rotterdam talent. On Friday 13 September, the programme starts at 17.00, on the following Saturday and Sunday as early as 13.00.
The programme includes: Quartetto Loco. A completely unique quartet with Rotterdam brothers Simone and Nicolo Bottasso at its core. Rotterdam-based Ntjam Rosie performs urban soul. BadaBoooom Brass plays New Orleans brass with Rotterdam influences.

Merging
La Roffa Project is a group led by Spanish trumpeter Antonio Peñalver, also the band's composer and arranger. The members met while studying at Codarts. They come from different countries and have diverse cultural backgrounds, but their shared interest in the fusion of Afro-Cuban music, flamenco and jazz brought them together.
Kevin Bokomo came to Rotterdam from Congo in 2022. He set up a band here. Performances by Bokomo & the Mashaba Band guarantee soul, funk, afrobeat and jazz.
On Sunday, a tribute will be paid to Cape Verdean singer Americo Britto, who died last year; ambassador of funana and coladeiro music. He lived in Rotterdam from the 1980s and meant a lot to cultural life. Among other things, he stood at the cradle of the Dunya Festival and later the Magia Festival.
