A selection of art projects, supported by Art Office (CBK Rotterdam).
For the first time, Art Office (CBK Rotterdam) presents a selection from the more than 400 supported art projects from the past two years.
Don't forget to check in! shows how and where Rotterdam's creators are performing on the (inter)national stage. Driven by new collaborations, cultural environments, and scenic qualities, they've packed their bags. The diversity of destinations reflects the global connections they create and maintain.
From March 26th, the luggage will be unpacked and Art Office will bring these projects back to their home base to check in with the Rotterdam public again.
Fables of Water and Stone
One of the participating artists is Matilde Patuelli. In her work , "Fables of Water and Stone," she explores Japanese myths and landscapes through ceramic sculptures inspired by local geology and craft traditions.
In Without Start Without End, Jake Caleb develops new printing techniques to explore his family's migration history and the theme of loss, translating poetic forms into print media.
Both projects demonstrate how artists draw international inspiration and bring their experiences back to Rotterdam. Visitors will gain a glimpse into personal stories that simultaneously highlight global connections and cultural exchange. The exhibition is curated by Marlene Deutinger.
