The Skints
London quartet that lets you hear the eclectic sound of the suburbs of their hometown. From tropical punk to East London reggae.
The London quartet The Skints lets you hear the eclectic sound of the suburbs of their hometown. With a raw mix of ska, punk, dub, and reggae, they are sure to put a smile on your face. A shot of their East London reggae or tropical punk at GROUNDS is therefore the ideal remedy to brave the cold month of December. From the London underground punk scene and the darkest corners across the country, they have worked their way up to become an established name on the global reggae stage. And they owe this primarily to their unique lineup, as with three different lead vocalists, they have forged a sound all their own. From tight ska, through relaxed reggae, to powerful punk: The Skints can easily be seen as the rebellious child of The Specials and The Clash. With their first two albums, they quickly appeared on the radar of the BBC and the general public. Their successors FM (2015) and Swimming Lessons (2019) ensured that they toured the world incessantly. And in 2026, they are adding another chapter to their success story. For after a long wait, they are finally releasing their new album Sour Tooth in October. Which they will present to you with lots of sunny energy at GROUNDS.
