Ramón Valle Trio

Since he settled in our country around the year 2000, Ramón Valle has become an indispensable figure in the Dutch jazz scene. His energetic playing is irresistible. We are honored by his visit to De Fruitvis.

“The other face of Cuban jazz,” is what the renowned Cuban jazz pianist Ramón Valle has been called for years. His trio plays modern jazz in which Latin rhythms make unexpected appearances. Ramón distinguishes himself with his golden touch on the piano and his gift for creating original, memorable melodies. Ramón has become a fixture in Cuban jazz. He is praised all over the world for his stunning, expressive piano playing, in which his Cuban background and classical training are strongly present. Valle has played at prestigious festivals such as North Sea Jazz, London Jazz, Havana Jazz, and Montreux Jazz.

His trio further consists of the young, versatile drummer Jamie Peet and the expressive bassist Jeroen Vierdag.
