Meltheads
dEUS and Viagra Boys get a Dutch-language love child

The Antwerp band Meltheads has caused quite a stir in recent years with their idiosyncratic mix of garage rock, post-punk, and noise. With their acclaimed debut album 'Decent Sex' (2024) and the single 'Naïef', which has since become a Belpop classic, the Belgians made quite a name for themselves. Rotterdam also had to give in, with a performance at Left of the Dial and a show at a sold-out Roodkapje. The foursome is now taking a new path: English is making way for Dutch, and the band is also exploring new musical avenues. On their second album, which will be released in the spring of 2027, the raw guitars are partly making way for more melody, experimentation, and a surprisingly versatile sound. Think of the idiosyncrasy of dEUS and the chaos of Viagra Boys, but in Dutch. On Friday, March 5, Meltheads will be at Rotown.
