Jazz in Crooswijk - Kenturah’s Kitchen

Pianist and composer Ed Baatsen, bassist Han Slinger, and drummer Friso van Wijck form the current lineup of Kenturah’s Kitchen, which was founded in 2011.

Their music is adventurous, full of surprising twists and improvisations with a unique signature. From the intensity of a powerful groove to moments of delicate interaction.

Rich melodies, abrupt turns, and never a predictable moment — an adventure that draws the listener in.

The trio performs contemporary jazz with influences from rock, R&B, hip-hop, Afro-Cuban, and classical music.
