Expanding Practices

Do you want to further develop your practice as an artist, designer, architect or other emerging maker? Join Expanding Practices, an afternoon full of conversations and practical workshops with various professionals from the field. Explore ways to take the next step, find inspiration, broaden your network and learn how to turn ideas into meaningful projects. This first edition of Expanding Practices brings together makers from diverse disciplines and connects them with relevant organizations and professionals from Rotterdam, the Netherlands and the international field. The event is aimed at students, emerging makers and established professionals in the fields of art, design, architecture and digital culture. The afternoon begins with a series of interactive conversations between makers, collectives, funds, patrons, curators and art galleries, addressing new developments, resources and models that makers can work with today. After a short break, there will be sessions and workshops with program partners Level Up, Netwerk Archieven Design en Digitale Cultuur (NADD), Rotterdam Design Biennale, Nieuwe Instituut and DutchCulture.
