The program opens with A Life in a Day by Edward Top. This work centers on four moments of the day: morning, afternoon, evening, and night. These moments serve as a metaphor for the different phases of a human life. The music deals with time, change, and the continuous movement of life.

Together with Visions at Sea by Joey Roukens, music by composers associated with the Rotterdam School takes center stage.

The concert concludes with Vivaldi's The Four Seasons Recomposed by Max Richter. In this neoclassical arrangement of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Richter brings out the colors and contrasts of the original and amplifies them. At times Vivaldi is clearly in the foreground, while at other times Richter's own signature resonates more strongly. The result is a layered and often moving work, in which the dialogue between old and new comes to life in a natural way.
