The Amsterdam cellist and singer Chieko Donker Duyvis tells the story of her Japanese grandmother. In 1960 she goes to Brazil for love. Chieko's mother is born in that love nest in Brazil, but in turn leaves her native country for love in the Netherlands.

Chieko and musician Thijs Borsten travel to Brazil. In search of the roots of Chieko's family and the magical Brazilian nature. Using enchanting music and film images, they unfold a timeless love story that connects three generations and three continents.
