Rotterdam is bursting with art, and so is the Doelen. Get to know all about the Doelen's art collection with this Art Walk as part of the anniversary weekend and the Reconstruction Days!

Did you know that De Doelen houses one of the most remarkable art collections from the post-war reconstruction period? This collection has recently been expanded with new works that bring the building back into dialogue with the city and its artists. Another nice fact: this Art Walk is not only part of our anniversary weekend, but also of the Reconstruction Days (May 15–18).

During Art Walk Live, you will discover, among others, Reverberations by Christine Rusche, Tronie en Stad by Anuli Croon, Legshow by Madeleine Berkhemer, and Ami nsta li, nkre sta djuntu ku nhos by Sandim Mendes. Also new are the photographic work Het spaarpotje van Jurriaanse by Harry Sengers and the sculpture Hommage aan Willem Pijper by Stephan Balkenhol.

Accompanied by a Rotterdam art expert, you will walk past these works, including backstage areas and a special view of the roof. You will hear the stories behind the art, the architecture, and the history of the building. The tour starts at gallery de Doelen Art at Schouwburgplein 57.
