Anna Sollewijn Quartet

A fresh take on the Great American Songbook

The Anna Sollewijn / Chris Muller Quartet brings together two young musical talents from the Dutch jazz scene: vocalist Anna Sollewijn (24) and pianist Chris Muller (26). They met at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where their shared passion for jazz and soul quickly led to a special musical connection. With their quartet, they offer a fresh, contemporary take on the Great American Songbook, the music that connects them to this day.

Debut album in 2025

In December 2025, they will record their debut album at Wisseloord Studios, together with Cas Jiskoot (bass) and Tim Hennekes (drums). These four young Dutch top talents breathe new life into the American Songbook with respect for tradition and a contemporary approach. The album features standards that Anna and Chris have arranged especially for this quartet. With virtuosic vocal improvisations, rich harmonies, and influences from classical and soul, they show that this music remains very much alive.
