Amsterdam Sinfonietta en Huub van der Lubbe Breder dan klassiek

For its annual, successful New Year's concerts, Amsterdam Sinfonietta joins forces with an artist from outside the classical world. In the past, the orchestra has collaborated with Rufus Wainwright, Karsu, and Maria Mena, among others. Now it is Huub van der Lubbe's turn. Following the memorable tour with De Dijk in 2014, he returns to the orchestra as a solo artist. His rendition of Jacques Brel's *Amsterdam* with Amsterdam Sinfonietta at the Prinsengracht Concert 2025 was a brief prelude to this collaboration. Van der Lubbe was the frontman of the iconic band De Dijk for over forty years, acted in various films and musicals, and now also performs solo or with small ensembles in theaters. Together with the orchestra, he performs his own songs alongside hits by De Dijk, naturally interwoven with classical repertoire.
