Afslag Gewist - Debby Petter (try-out) try-out

A monologue about how life could have turned out differently.

Debby Petter will perform together with harpist Emma Finkers in the show Afslag Gewist, written by her husband Youp van 't Hek, from November 2025 to April 2026.

A woman finds an envelope in her mailbox containing a letter from someone who is no longer alive. She takes the letter with her on a short journey that will definitely not go as planned. She has time to think. About the contents of the letter, about the writer of the epistle and about herself. Suddenly, a lot becomes clear.

In a light monologue, the woman clears her head just before her 70th birthday. She asks herself questions and tries to find answers. How could her life have been different? Which turns did she miss and now erase?
