A Night w/ Katayoun & Babi

Katayoun, a DJ and radio presenter from Amsterdam, dives into music archives with a feminist perspective. She connects sounds, stories and generations with her selection of Iranian vinyl classics from before 1979 and music from the Iranian diaspora, including the Tehrangeles scene from the 80s and 00s. You might know her from Sonic Imaginaries on Kiosk Radio or from various dance floors and festivals.

Babi, a DJ and selector from London, has a broad interest in music from Southwest Asia, North Africa, West Africa and beyond. His sets include Afrobeat, Jazz, Funk, Disco, and vintage regional music. Babi is known for his flexible approach, which suits both listening evenings and dance parties. He is also the founder of Beats Kebab, a London event where global grooves and community are central.
