So.. What’s next?

Every film starts with an idea. But what happens next? Filmmakers Vincent Boy Kars and Fadua El Akchaoui talk candidly about creativity, career, and the reality of making work in the Dutch film landscape.

In Collaboration with Scope, So.. What's Next brings filmmakers Vincent Boy Kars and Fadua El Akchaoui together for an open conversation about the journey from idea to finished film — and everything that follows. Drawing from their own experiences, they'll explore where ideas come from, how you decide which ones to pursue, and how you keep developing new work while building a career as a filmmaker.

What makes an idea stick? How do you maintain creative momentum? And what comes next after completing your first film? By sharing their personal journeys, creative choices, and the realities of making work within the Dutch film landscape, this session offers an honest look at how stories take shape — and how makers continue to grow.

Through this collaboration with Scope, RODFF creates space for inspiration, exchange, and connection between emerging filmmakers and Rotterdam's wider film community.
