Entrepot building

The former Entrepot building 'De Vijf Werelddelen' is located on the Handelsplein in Rotterdam.

The complex was originally intended for the duty-free storage of transit goods. It was built between 1875-1879 in a utilitarian eclectic architectural style on the initiative of Lodewijk Pincoffs and HA Then-Bergh, the directors of the Rotterdamsche Handelsvereniging (RHV), founded in 1872. However, in 1997 a major renovation took place and the complex is used for apartments, shops and restaurants.
