Bringing 'strangers' together

Aunt Nino has a fascination for people and their diversity of appearances. She brings 'strangers' together through images, music, dialogue and delicious food. She is a connector of all layers, cultures and ages.

Nino sees the North Island as a metaphor for her native Georgia, because it is also located on a border, the border between Europe and Asia. She grew up in a very hospitable culture. When she came to Rotterdam for love, people called her a foreigner, she was very surprised: “I am not a foreigner,” she said, “I am a Georgian” and of course she was laughed at.
