The Butter Quartet plays music from Bridgerton at Trompenburg

Jeroen Veenstra

The Netflix series Bridgerton is so popular partly because of its music. On Wednesday 13 August, those romantic sounds can be enjoyed in a fitting setting when the Butter Quartet plays music from that popular series, complemented by classical gems from the 18th and 19th centuries, during Musique Botanique at Trompenburg. Tickets are available via this link.

The Butter Quartet, consisting of four passionate musicians who met at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, is known for their lively, historically informed performances. Since their formation, they have caused a furore internationally at festivals such as the Wonderfeel Festival, the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam and the York Early Music Festival. Their acclaimed debut album Scintilla was released in July 2024.

During the unique concert, the ensemble will perform works by Haydn, Van Bree and Lombardini Sirens, among others, interspersed with iconic melodies from Pride & Prejudice and Bridgerton as well as a surprising arrangement of Taylor Swift's Wildest Dreams.

After the concert, the audience will be treated to a luxurious vegetarian High Tea.
