New restaurant MUSUBU connects guests with Japanese culture
Jeroen Veenstra
MUSUBU is a new Japanese restaurant on Mauritsweg 43A. It combines the simplicity of Teishoku with Izakaya. The name has a special meaning in Japanese culture and appears in words related to connection and unity.
MUSUBU's chef has more than 30 years of experience in Japan, France and Germany. His career includes roles at a Michelin-recommended restaurant in Germany, the Japanese embassy in France and a luxury resort in Okinawa. His cuisine combines authenticity with elegant presentation. He offers Teishoku (balanced meals with rice, miso soup, pickles and a main course) and Izakaya (dishes to share).
Signature Dishes
The menu includes Tonkatsu (crispy breaded pork tenderloin served with chopped cabbage, homemade tonkatsus sauce and rice), Steak Jyu (tender slices of fried steak served on steamed rice with an umami-sweet lacquer) and Miyazaki Wagyu Shabu Shabu (hotpot with Miyazaki Wagyu and seasonal vegetables).
