Joe Armon-Jones and Ghost-Note at Boogieball, the official North Sea Jazz Afterparty at BIRD

Boogieball returns to BIRD as the official afterparty of the North Sea Jazz Festival. This iconic event, already in its 16th edition, offers a unique opportunity to spend the night with world-class artists from jazz, soul and hip-hop. The likes of Joe Armon-Jones and Ghost-Note will continue after their performance in Ahoy. Previous editions have been graced by legends such as Usher, Macy Gray, Mos Def, Anderson .Paak, Bootsy Collins, Roy Hargrove, Janelle Monáe and Questlove.

On Friday, Boogieball kicks off with Joe Armon-Jones, keyboard virtuoso, producer and London tastemaker with a penchant for deep grooves and soulful progressions. He brings his cosmic jazz to BIRD and does not do so alone. But together with local talent such as Bnnyhunna, Deborah Slijkhuis, Peter Somuah and JUNYA (all associated with OSHI).

Roll the Dice takes over the night with a line-up consisting of JEWEL, BKK, Phillintheblanks and Lashanti. They will spin sultry house, driving broken beats, basslines and more.

Ghost-Note, the collective of Robert "Sput" Searight and Nate Werth (Snarky Puppy), drops by on Saturday with a live show full of funk, jazz and soul.

In the café and club, It's Cookin' warms things up. Turne, Cutnice, MC JR, Stayfun and Don Dev provide an unfiltered mix of hip-hop, soul and funk.

Tickets are available as day tickets or as a discounted pass for both nights. North Sea Jazz festival-goers benefit from a special discount. More info and ticket sales via this link.
